WHO WE ARE

Giant Steps Vending is a non-profit vending machine distributor and operator based in Los Angeles County, California.
Since 2001, we have been providing invaluable job training and supplementary income to people with special needs and developmental disabilities throughout Southern California. Our operation supports dozens of disadvantaged individuals working hard to obtain independence and self-sufficiency.
We believe that helping your community is possible through simple day-to-day acts. It does not need to be grand, noble, or costly. Sometimes, you can make a difference through the humblest of things – and it could just be standing unnoticed along your hallway.
Giant Steps Vending is an offspring brand of Giant Steps Training Programs, Inc.
PARTNERING WITH LOCAL ESTABLISHMENTS
We build partnerships with residential and commercial buildings around Los Angeles County that are willing to host our vending machines. Our team then installs the units and stocks them with supplies.

RESTOCKING & MAINTENANCE
The machines are regularly visited to be replenished with products and inspected for maintenance. A designated logistics team handles this with the active participation of our trainees.

PAYING OF STIPENDS
The profits made from the vending machines are given to our trainees as stipends. This provides them with supplemental income to support their daily needs.

TRAINING & EVENTUAL EMPLOYMENT
Equipped with the learning experience, the trainees boost their chances of landing permanent employment and jump-starting their careers.

Giant Steps Vending is part of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. All revenue generated by our vending machines is paid to our trainees or used to fund our operations. Every purchase you make goes purely to a charitable cause.

TRAINING

Our end goal is to empower our trainees so they can eventually establish their own careers. Taking part in the program gives them a chance to develop the skills and build the confidence they need to find self-sustaining jobs.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
​
The program not only opens opportunities for disadvantaged individuals but also opportunities for other community members to participate in the cause. Partners can help either by adopting a machine or simply purchasing vending products.
